Crystal Ball 2010

This is my last post for 2009. Yes, I am vain. I can't help myself.  I'm going on 45 and feel like, well, I work really hard to stay in shape so I'm going to show off.  Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.. hahahaha.. 2010 is the year that I sign up for my first Ironman. I know I mentioned this already but this is a huge step for me.   Only last year I was not "feeling it".  I am now "feeling it" in a huge way. I now know that I can and will complete an Ironman.  All of my training for 2010 will be geared in preparing me for an Ironman in 2011. 2010 I'm going to have huge PR's  in the Halfiron. 2010 I'm enjoying training more because of my vast knowledge I've gained over the past year. ;) 2010 I am living my life how I want to live it not how I think I am suppose to live it. (i.e. if I need to sleep in due to training, I sleep in, even if it means I don't get to work until 9:30).  We only live once.  Better make it f...

Just Checking In

I feel like I have bloggers cramp.  I have not had time to read nor write blogs in the past couple of weeks. Like everyone else I am busy with Christmas, training, and having F U N.  Sorry about that.  I'll settle in for some good catchupblog this week. In the meantime here's what has been going on: The Bill Rogers Jingle Bell Run is 30 years old and is 2.4 miles. I ran this fun run last night. There were no clocks or results.  Just spirited jovial runners.   It is run at a controlled 10 MPM down the streets of Boston.  They have a party afterwards at Fanuel Hall and serve 64-calorie-beer.. Yuck pooey.  After, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner and had some food and real beer there. I'm back on track and training for the Hyannis Marathon for the end of February.  Jen is kicking my butt into high gear and I'm loving it.  Thanks Jen. I have a new lease on my nutrition and have added p...

Creative Training

I write this post whilst lounging at the white sandy Palm Beach in Aruba. It's hard to find time to blog while on vacation but I don't want to lose my momentum. I just had to move under the Palapa due to a short sprinkle of rain. The weather has been perfect actually. Not one day of rain. I'm also listening to Britney Spears. Something I would not be found doing at home. I'm not a fan of Brit however this "Love Me Hate Me" tune is quite catchy. This morning I woke up to the horror of a bad nightmare. I dreamt that my tri coach Jen decided she didn't want to coach me anymore. Or more that she was transferring me to her newest coach who had just been certified. I was mortified and depressed. Thankfully it was just a dream. I'm pretty sure I know why I had this dream but I won't delve to deeply into that. Ok.. so... the point of this blog is to inventory my training in Aruba. For starters, my buddy Mel B. and I decided to create our own Aquath...
