No time to waste

It is time to either shit or get off the pot. I have always loved that saying. Probably because it's so raw in it's meaning and forthright in it's sound.

I don't have a ton of time here. I'm 45 years young and I want the MOST out of life that I can possibly squeeze. I MUST take chances NOW if I want to remain competitive in sport.

I'm willing to go the distance. To train like a mad woman whether it be biking, running, or swimming. The marathon, the IM, or sprints. It doesn't matter which I choose. The only thing that matters is that I get to push myself to the limits just to see what I'm capable of. There will be no "what ifs" in my retirement life. Only "remember whens".

Instinctively and cautiously I am already considering what to do about over the next 5 years. The long list. There are things I want to do over the next few years and I'm gearing up to be ready. I'm following my hearts pull. The thing that I have a real aching to do.

No more testing the waters. There's not enough time!! I can do that later when time is not of the essence. Period.

Melissa, I am like you, don't like to waste time. But, you are young, 45 is young, and winning your AG at 65 is as darn impressive as winning it at 45! You have time to do both!

I'm 100% in agreement - and by remaining competitive NOW you will be extending your competitive longevity in the future. Use it or lose it.
